MembershipAll guests who present themselves are to be welcomed as Christ. From the Rules of St. Benedict
Welcome to our congregation, whether you are here for the first time or have been here many times. Our hope is that you will come to know St. Stephen’s as a place where you will eventually become a part of our parish family. Please identify yourself to our greeters as a new member so you are sure to receive our “swag bag” filled with information and a welcome present!
A member of this or any other Christian church is any person who has been baptized with water “in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit” whether or not that has been done in the Episcopal Church or any other Christian tradition. Membership is primarily about shared worship, joining with others of like mind and spirit to glorify God in the bonds of a community. Members are integral components of making the church strong and vital in many ways, through the sharing of time, talent, and treasure.
To become a member, simply let us know. Contact a member of the clergy or vestry, fill out a Pew Card, or send us a note. You may also become a member of St. Stephen’s by transferring your membership from another parish by contacting that church office directly. This is a warm community of faith, love, and joy, and we are happy to have you become a part of this circle.
